Top vintage trends for Autumn/Winter Part 1

This year has seen many vintage trends storming the fashion runways once more. From 1960s Mod mini dresses to flowing 1970s maxi dresses, one item which keeps reappearing year after year is the 1980s leather skirt! No longer is the leather mini perceived in a bad light, but welcomed as a wardrobe staple in women of all age's wardrobes. Whether knee length and paired with a tight fitting blouse and a pair of court shoes for the office, or cut shorter to the thigh and paired with black opaque tights and a bodycon vest top or loose slouchy t-shirt for a night out, this is one trend that is sure to keep you looking stylish all the way through to Spring!
Why not embrace two trends in one and invest in one of our colour block vintage leather skirts and add a splash of colour to your winter wardrobe? Take a look at the latest celebrities embracing this trend...

This Spring's vintage must-have item!

Whether full length or three-quarter, dressed down with a vintage thick knit cable knit jumper for a modern take on the grunge look, or dressed up with a body-con top and ankle strap heels, there was one very obvious piece on the runways this year which we are glad to have in our lives: the midi skirt.

The versatility of this trend as previously mentioned makes it both a winter and summer wardrobe staple, not just a passing trend carried off by the select few or slight of frame like so many past trends which seem to come and go.

The midi skirt is a suits-all trend, and a very feminine, flattering one at that thanks to 1970s inspired pleating, 1950s A-line cuts, cool cottons and sheer, floaty fabrics.

Seen at shows such as Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Celine and Chloe, as well as on the likes of fashionistas Kate Bosworth and Alexa Chung, the different outfit combinations whether smart or casual, or for work or play are endless!
